Some courses I have taken include, Cultural Diversity, Quality Incentives, Non-Profit Management, Leadership in Organizations, Ethics in Leadership, Business Communication, Financial Accounting, Economics, and Conflict Resolution. My final course consisted of an original thesis on conflict resolution within a work environment, directed towards management.  The main objective of my degree is to learn how to apply leadership, while still being efficient at management in the workplace.   

EMPLOYMENT

Operations Supervisor- ABF Freight Dallas, TX (April 2014-Present)

·   My current focus is Inbound Operations.

·   Setup and develop all routes for our distribution center

·   I ensure the freight is unloaded by priority based on volume, due date, and manpower.

·   Setup labor for each shift.

·   Dispatch city drivers.

·   I monitor loading to ensure efficient routes are be utilized through our KPI’s

·   I work with account manager to focus and provide customized solutions for our customers.

·   Develop and implement training material to ensure guidelines are followed.

·   Manage the cross dock operation for the Outbound, Transfer, and Inbound perspective.

Office Supervisor (Operations/Warehousing) Saddle Creek Logistics 3PL Fort Worth, TX

·                        3PL for Del Monte Foods DC 700,000 square foot warehouse.

·                        I assist operations by overseeing Outbound Scheduling, Inbound Scheduling, and Inventory Control.

·                        I have 7 associates the report directly to me, and 85 indirectly.

·                        My duties include but are not limited to P&L statements, acting as a liaison between Saddle Creek and Del Monte, researching OS&D, monitoring work orders, BRC coordinator/audits, Inventory audits, monitoring KPI metrics, assisting customer service, monitoring office/ floor operations.

·                        Oversee scheduling/manpower planning for DRU builds.

·                        Performing in a process driven/lean environment.

Operations Supervisor (Logistics/Transportation)- ABF Freight-Tulsa, OK & Dallas, TX- January 2012 – June 2013

·   I started as a management trainee in Tulsa, OK learning the entire process of logistics and transportation.

·   While in Tulsa I gained experience in outbound/inbound logistics, supply chain management, billing/cashiering, and sales. I received a promotion in July 2012 relocating to Dallas as an operations supervisor at a 200-door distribution center.

·   I have account management experience.

·   I have internal/external supply chain experience. 

·   I have real-time experience in cargo claims and prevention, resulting in the Dallas terminal going from last, to first place among ABF’s distribution centers.

·   I am in charge of leading/managing 15-30 employees per shift.

·   My focus is in operations/logistics, while simultaneously having a claims prevention mindset. 

·   I have to close trailers by their deadline in a fast paced environment.

·   I route loads to ensure efficient supply chain needs of customers.

·   I do inventory on supplies to ensure cost balance.

·   I have my employees rework and condense loads based on revenue gained.

·   I ensure loads are blocked/braced, stacked efficiently, have proper exceptions, and use of dunnage is sufficient.

·   I have received many compliments from upper management and my employees on my performance.

Bartender - Traditions Spirits - Norman, OK. Aug. 2009 – September 2011

·   I worked as a bartender at Riverwind Casino. I was in charge of delivering excellent customer service to all patrons.  My goal was to sell the most beverages each month, and continue to have repeat clientele. 

·   I also have received prizes for being one of the top sellers among my peers.

·   I was nominated for employee of the quarter in July 2010, October 2010, and January 2011.

Crew runner– Karen’s Wallpaper and Painting – Allen, Texas. Feb. 2002 – Dec. 2007

·   I was responsible for promotions, sales, product assembly, and advertising.

·   I was in charge of 5 people running paint crews in the Dallas metroplex.

·   I had to give estimates and work one on one with customers in selling them our service.

JOB SKILLS

I am sufficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, AS400, Red Prairie WMS and the internet. I have worked with both a PC and a Mac.

Activites:

·   I was involved in baseball, football, golf, hunting, fishing, and basketball throughout my life.

·   In high school I was in the FFA and chess club.

·   Since a child I have been involved with numismatics. I currently collect and trade rare coins and bullion over the Internet.
